Please see.

I have played this game for months and its GREAT but the only places you can land are Landing Strips and Carriers it would be nice if you could crash land and get out and walk around and use anti aircraft guns and tanks and other guns!

Another Atypical dumpster fire

I have played this game through and have noticed that the only good in this game is that it is WWII like. other than that, it is a waste of time and money. The campaighn is cringe, te detail is literally just pixels, the grind makes you question life choices as you run through every hell hole in existence, trying to unlock every skin and plane, only to realize that all you’ve ever worked for in this game, is nothing compaired to what tryhards with deep wallets and aim assist and leaderboard glitches. If I could rewrite a title for this game, it would be: YOU HAVE NEVER DONE SO LITTLE FOR SO MUCH IN YOUR LIFE BEFORE; WWII edition. Basically, you have better things to do. I want to go outside now. It’s like these crazy developers bought their way to editor’s choice. Its not even worth how cheap it is now that peaople see it for what it really is.

Nice for fun

one game easier than other flight simulators. Multiplayer for home aned more than 6000 caracters to describe that game. Hightly recommanded for youg

Not bad.

The graphics look just as bad as GTA 3, but nevertheless, the gameplay is fantastic. The reason why it has a so-so graphics is because… For example you get a small piece of ground you just made. It looks fantastic, but its tiny. So they strech it big so when youre far away from it, it looks fantastic again. So this game has some real big eye candy even if its under 1 gig! I like all the modes and especially Capture the flag. That one was genius. But I hate in-game app purchases. It just gurantees that youre not exactly getting 100% from the game you just bought and if you want to access everything you purchased you gotta pay a little more cabbage. But still, this was the best airplane stimulator Ive ever played. +1 for mac gaming!

Disappointed

This app doent respect the physic of flying. Its basically a shooting gallery app, fun but surely not a flight simulator. For 5$, it is honest, but no more. Indy

Fantastic gameplay - great graphics, fun to play, plenty included

The graphics are very solid for a $5.99 game. Some reviewers have slammed it for not being a flight simulator, but theyve never once advertised that its a full flight sim. Its an aerial combat game. You dont have to purchase via in-app either. As you progress through the game, youre awarded new planes. Or yes, you can purchase all up front. The single play missions are numerous, extensive and varied. You can attack ships, ground targets or other planes. The heart of this game is the online play (no extra charge from this game except for your internet connection). Its fun to combat other real virtual players in a variety of games. Back to the graphics - your plane can take a number of hits with a % decreasing as youre hit. Pieces fall off, wings fall off, smoke trails, sun glints, rain drops (these look very sharp on your windshield believe it or not) are all examples of sharp graphics. You can land on air carriers or landing strips to reheal your plane. Always fun trying to land with someone trying to shoot you down or shooting someone just as they were about to land. lol Sound - something not mentioned, but well worth it. Pings from bullets, rocket bursts, airplanes crashing or starting to zoom down after being shot….sound just like old WWII combat flying footage. You can create custom in-game messaging to communicate with players. Apparently through gamecentre you can communicate via a headset, but I havent done that. For the price of the game, there is a ton of value.

Terrible

I cant even comment about game content as the gameplay was awful. I have more than double the system requirements but this game was so laggy it made it unplayable.

Awesome

Great selection of planes, good gameplay, especially for the price and really fun.

Great value!

Like AirAttack, this is a great air combat game. Obviously, this game approaches it from a completely different angle but is quick to learn and easy to play. Very engaging playing it for 10 minutes or an hour. Decent graphics, great music. Worth $5.

Sky Gamblers

Great graphics! Joystick stopped working even though the program "recognizes" it. Sought support from vendor. No response.

Runs Poorly on 2011 MAc Mini HD6630M i5 2.5

I have many macs, and this game runs great on my 2008 MacBook. However, it has about 6 fps on my 2011 Mac Mini. I reinstalled Lion, and it is playable on that. Even using a SSD it is unplayable in ML. I have no idea what is going on. I used the HDD, and then the SSD for both Lion and ML, same results. 10.8.3 - not playable 10.7.5 - playable

Doesnt respect physics.

At least with a keyboard, the plane does not ease into turns, pitches, and does not feel gravity. Keyboard control is tedious, and the graphics really arent up to par. Skip it.

Worth it.

Don’t really love it but it’s a good game. It worth the money

Excellent game

I ‘ve been trying to find a Mac compatible flying game for a number of years and they have all come up short until SGSR. Great game!

Refund

Can I have refund please?

Awesome game, a steal for $5!

Pretty decent grahpics considering the type of game it is, great customization, awesome online activities and pretty real physics.

Difficulty curve designed to sucker you into unfruitful in-app purchases

The game starts out nice and the campaigns are fun. However this is a paid app, and for that you don’t get much from the campaigns. You’ll finish them on the first day. Afterwards when you play the dogfight or survival missions, the levels gradually get more difficult for the first 10 levels. After that the difficulty goes up exponentially. At first you think you just need practice, however, after much practice and playing in vain, you will begin to think that maybe you need to start buying upgrades to your plane or buy better planes. After spending more money than what you paid for the game, and still not getting any results, you realize that you’ve been suckered into their scams. If you’re going to make games for people to enjoy, and make in-app purchaces as options, then at least make it so that people feel like they got something for their purchace. Instead you’ve taken the route to scam people, and leave them feeling regretful for giving you the extra money that you don’t deserve.

Good game, but bad hit testing

This game is a really good game. But there are two glaring bugs that have not been fixed: keys get stuck to ‘on’ and hit boxes on some objects are too big. Two other issues in multiplayer are the clumsiness of text chatting (it was made for a touch screen), and no feed back as to network performance - so objects can jump around a lot with bad latency and you wouldn’t even know how bad it is.
